Angelic Protection Invincibility

yeah, so I was wondering, does anybody know what would happen if you wore lowest possibly AL and used frenzy while under the effects of angelic protection?

it would seem to me that if you had a paragon helping you using echos to cast angelic protection multiple times, you'd be able to keep this up indefinitely, and still have lots of skills left in your skillbar to do whatever with

seems like a pretty stress-free way to farm to me

yeah but the thing is....most enemies in PVE don't hit over 100, and only bosses hit over 100....so you really need 18 leadership inorder for this to be effective at farming

no armor = damage is increased ALOT, this was what spirit bond farmers used to do... they would take off armor and basically make the enemies deal a crap load of damage to them 60+ every time thus never dying.

Angelic protection on the other hand seems kind of slow... i mean with the whole paragon thing... not great attacks

@combat: it seems to me that you are still taking 130 damage per second, therefore with no other heals you will die in about 5 seconds if you are taking that much damage per second, but then again if you are taking at least 130 more than that i guess you'd be fine.

@michael: the damage doesn't have to come from a single source, making it far easier to get up to that amount per second than the >60 damage for spirit bond.

@skye: the point was it would be a two man farm with one paragon and one something else to deal damage. what i see happening is aggro on the paragon when they are trying to use shouts but who knows =/

ya... i forget what i was saying.

yeah it's basically the spirit bond concept, but it takes way fewer skills so you can pretty much have a field day equipping any offensive skills you want

so this can be a new "spirit bond" farmer? im gonna try to make a solo farming build from it

solo may be difficult, considering it's gonna take a mesmer with echo and arcane echo to keep it up permanently, which leaves you frenzy-less, although it might work without it, idk

For 10 seconds, any time target other ally takes more than 250...130 damage per second, that ally is healed for any damage over that amount.

wait a second... any damage over that amount? thats all well and great but doesnt that mean you would take 130 dps still? like i guess it would work okay but its per second also, so if you do frenzy+low AI, wouldnt you just kill yourself if they do more than ur max health before 1 second? just wondering....

i'm not sure how it works but, if its instantaneously healed if its greater than that amount it would work
i.e. in any given second take up to 130 damage then the rest of the damage is negated.

as i said i don't know how it works so it would have to be tested or something

wait......doesn't AP(anglic protection) heal you with the amount that's over the description...??

ex: you have 12 AP( so 130 dmg ) and you take 150 dmg in 1 sec, doesn't AP heals you for 150 or does it just negate the rest 20 dmg...?

if that's so this skill can be with no armor + frenzy as you will take 300 dmg and the AP will negate hte extra 170 dmg and you only take 130 dmg...it doesn't matter if you take 1000k dmg, you will always get the same dmg prevention (so no matter how much dmg you take, you will always receive 130dmg at 12 leadership)

but yeah solo is impossible i guess and shadow dmg will also surpass this enchant so it is weak against foc or blood spikes

it seems to me that say to take 530 damage in a given second you take 130 and are healed for 400 effectively negating the damage. However if it heals AFTER the second has passes you could potentially still die from too much damage. i.e. take 2000 damage in a given second you will be quite dead before the time period in which it would heal you.

i hope i'm making the difference clear but then again i might have just confused it more....

edit: guildwiki hasn't tested this yet so i'm willing to try it out sometime to see how it would work if anyone else wants to try, just need to get a way to get > 130 damage from multiple sources in under a second

wat i was trying to say is: it doesn't matter how much dmg you take, you will ALWAYS recieve 130 dmg at 12 leadership no matter if you take 200 dmg or 10000000000000000000000000000k dmg, the rest will always be negated

but it depends on when it is negated as to whether or not you die from 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000k dmg

if you're trying to do a 2 man invinci farm then there are so many better things to do....

there is always something better to do with your time... but that doesn't mean it isn't fun XD
