illusion weapon

ok so i was wundering illusion weapon mes elite any gd for a war?
plus:
its always hits for a certain almount
voids the high requie of weap mastery
combined with deadly ripose nice heathly offense and defense
drawbacks:
high nrj cost /15
voids the use of weapon skillz
weak againts enchant removals

any thoughts?

generally IW is used with a me/w using flurry, the mesmer also has more energy, can use arcane echo, slow down spells, conjure ect and use distortion. With a warrior u have the benifit of higher armor, but runs out of energy alot easier, riposaste is only good vs other wars though, and isnt really a good pvp skill to use.

If you are running IW mesmer with points in tactics you'll want something like this:

+5 energy sword with a 20% longer enchantment mod and a +45/-2 while enchanted shield.

By the way have a cover enchant for IW or else it will be stripped and you'll be useless.

thats generally what most do except with mesmer with less armor but more energy to use like distortion whihc make u have 75% of not getting hit and illusion of weakne

doesn't imaging burden or shared burden[E] also works with IW? i seen ppl do that(but not a whole team, only 1 or 2 people of the team) and it really does hurt the tank, and most of the time my team sort of 'breaks apart' since most people expect the mesmers to stay back and cast spells and charging into combat surprises people and the other team usually spike the healer(if there is any) to death and then they work on the tanks then spellcasters.
